Bar Planet New Menu: BFFs
Three new cocktails, all starring ingredients from three local favourites.
With a little help from our BFFs at AP Bakery, Goldstreet Dairy and Rooftop Bees, we’ve created a Hot Honey and Gentian aperitif, a Rhubarb and Whey spritz, and buttery Baguette sour.

Cantina OK! x Smoke & Bitters Takeover

Inspired by his recent trip to Sri Lanka and Sunset Shift at the incredible Smoke & Bitters, Jax created a weekly special built around the Iramusu and Silvertip Tea that was passed onto Jax as a parting gift.

Bar Planet Mega Martini Launch! (Gotcha!!)
Continuing the MUCHO tradition of mega-fying cocktails, we launched the Mega Martini at Bar Planet! Alas, this one was an April Fools joke but you can get your hands on a real Mega Margs at Tio’s and a Grande Spicy Marg at Centro 86!

Cantina OK! x Evi O
We collaborated with self-taught artist, designer, author, and publisher Evi O, the creative force behind beloved Sydney design studio, Evi-O.Studio.
Evi’s practice explores the concepts of optimism, joy, and metamorphosis in the world we live in, often expressed through her use of colour and abstraction, in both 2 & 3 dimensional forms. For this special we ran her iconic pastel piece, ‘A Laissez-faire Attitude’, through the liquid Cantina OK! lens.

Cantina OK! x Ken Done
It was an honour to collaborate with Australian legend Ken Done to create a drink at Cantina OK! inspired by his monumentally iconic art style. We visited Ken in his studio in The Rocks and chatted about his time in Mexico while he doodled on some Cantina coasters.

We took three iconic tarot cards, painted them with the Bar Planet brush, enlisted the help of the freshest of produce, and ended up with a delicious menu of seasonal symbolism.

Before the Margarita existed, there was a whole genre of early tequila cocktails.
All three of these seasonal creations harken back to recipes from 1937’s ‘Cafe Royale Cocktail Book’, reimagined through the lens of what we can do in 2024 that we couldn’t before.
How can we revisit classic combinations with an emphasis on a wider, more international pantry, modern techniques and a focus on the freshest ingredients?
