Who is MUCHO?

Formed in 2008 after an unsuccessful attempt at opening a rooftop bar in Kings Cross, ‘Mucho Aloha’ was the original name given to an umbrella of projects that unfolded over the following 12 years. Meaning ‘many hellos’ and ‘many goodbyes’, Mucho Aloha, now ‘MUCHO’, epitomised the life of a young bartender in service.
Founded by Alex Dowd and Jeremy Blackmore, MUCHO’s mission is to bring creative concepts to life. Ever contrarian, MUCHO projects seek to weave seamlessly into the cultural life of Sydney and scratch her itches as they occur. Always original and never derivative, we’ve pushed the envelope with our venues locally and on the world stage; from a hole in the wall micro mezcal mecca landing on The World's 50 Best Bars list, to influential cult favourite products that lead the market. -
We’re dedicated to an earnest and inspired future of hospitality. We exist to make fantastic drinks, served incredibly. We remember that bars are for the people. We create memorable things, individual things, things with breadth, and things with depth.
We look people in the eyes and give them our time. We pay attention. We care about the details, and we remember the thought behind each decision. We build with empathy. And we always remember to be silly.
