The Story of the Bar Planet Logo
Ever wondered what the story is with the Bar Planet logo? Bar Planet turns 4 soon, so take a look at some of the draft logos that got the chop and never got to live la vida logo.
The logo was conceived, probably like most of us were, on a Wednesday somewhere between the hours of about 3 and 4am (receipts attached). But unlike the miracle of life, this baby didn’t really resemble its parent(s) more than it simply reminded us of what it might look like if Sushi Train and 1990s Ripcurl had a baby. Visceral stuff.
Like all logos, it’s usually the very last one you fry up right before hitting ‘export’ on the brand presentation that speaks the right language; “Was the last week of your life exploring other possible futures a total waste?”, of course not. Chuck a Pantone 072C swatch on it and call it a day.
